there is a regression for the blendsrf command since the release of rhino7.
it is no longer compatible with the zebra
you cannot activate the zebra at the same time as blendsrf.
because this is a feature available in rhino6.
I was waiting for this to be fixed in the meantime, in one of the latest updates.
unfortunately there is nothing so far.
it is useful and efficient when modeling.
I miss it .
@pascal ,Is there a chance this will be fixed in future updates?
thank you pascal
I hope to see this functionality again soon.
I even installed rhino8 wip, hoping to find zebra with blendsrf.
unfortunately it’s the same
The Zebra analysis works on Rhino 7 SR11 (7.11.21251.7001, 2021-09-08), but only when both surfaces were added to the analysis prior running the “Blend surface” command. However, if only one of the surfaces has an active Zebra analysis, the “Blend surface” does not show the Zebra stripes… In my opinion, the modeler must be able to see the Zebra stripes even if only one of the input surface is included in the Zebra analysis. Also, sometimes I run “Blend surfaces” and then I would like to be able to turn on the Zebra analysis on the go, without interrupting my current settings and added handles on the blend surface that’s still editable.
It would be nice if the features you described will be available in the future rhino …
There are also two checkboxes in the blendsrf command for zebra and curvature graph.
like in blendcrv command, there is a box to show the curvature graph
that would be a beautiful thing
maybe we need to create a new topic in sergenti for that
Features like these were requested multiple times over the past few years, but unfortunately they are not yet implemented…
I just tried the Zebra analysis on another file and it seems broken. Here on my video you can see that the Zebra stripes are active only for a brief moment and then they disappear. Even if only one of the input surfaces has a Zebra analysis. Then I set Zebra analysis for both input surfaces and noticed that the Zebra stripes also showed up for a very brief moment. Upon changing the viewport mode the Zebra stripes show until I move the camera or try to modify the blend surface. Quite interesting bug that never happened before…
