Bake or Export Text with given Size

Hey there,

does someone know a plug-in which managed to deal with the problem of baking (or exportiing) text from grasshopper (to rhino) while keeping the given scale? I tried many different text-components and so far i had the best control and output with human`s “Justified Text 3D” but still, with baking rhino gets rid of the scale. As everyone knows: Layer controls do not allow access to text properties. But would this be a way of controlling it?

Or does someone know a plug-in that transfers text-height (or model-scale) information to rhino (and its interface)?

Due to the reason that i have multiple hundreds of objects with different text-information and definitions of text heights, post-procedural changes inside rhino with selection by layer (every group of text-type has its own layer) takes too much time. Expecially when changes are coming up.

Please let me know if you have similar experiences or a hint for a better fitting component

Thanks

Set your annotation style and use the new Grasshopper Rhino components

Do you mean the annotation style in rhino? And what component do you suggest in detail?
Thank you so far Martin!

Yes you need to define the annotation style in Rhino. Then in Grasshopper the annotation style is applied to a text.

Please take a look at the Rhino tab

I tried, maybe i missed something or misunderstood something, but i still have the same problem

The problem is, that baked in rhino, there is still the default annotation style set. If i change manualy the annotation style of a text it works…

And do you know if it is possible to implement different annotation styles to different layers or text-outputs?

That is possible.

Please post a simplified Rhino file with just the annotations and your Grasshopper definition you used to bake or modify

Hi Manuel -

As Martin writes, please provide a 3dm and a gh file. We can’t see what’s going on from a few images.

That said, you might be running into RH-85976 Grasshopper: Bake Should Use Model Space Scaling

Hey guys,

sorry for the late reply. Was busy with other topics… But it finally worked out what Martin suggested. Guess i just had to restart rhino/gh but, however, it works now.

Thanks for the help!
