Shrink trimmed Surface in Grasshopper

I’m looking for a solution to shrink a surface to the trimmed boundaries. I know there’s a way to do it in Rhino, but I’ll prefer to keep it in Grasshopper to stick to the parametric idea. This is the Surface / GH untrimmed: [001] [002] and now trimmed: [003] As you can see I’ve tried to use cull pattern to just have the trimmed surface / or use the polyline to cut the surface, but it didn’t work. When I bake the surface and activate points in Rhino it show’s the full untrimmed surface,…

There’s no Shrink component in the native toolset, but you can do it in C#

That weird misalignment only occurs when there’s a large full-depth cut at an edge, and this C# code to run the Rhino command “Shrink Trimmed Surface” seems to work

The whole effort seemed to go off the rails when the idea of orienting the panels edge-to-edge (12 feet wide maximum) was abandon in favor of the undersized panel being in the middle.

Yes, it certainly complicated things. I’m not willing to give up on it though. I will compile the different width scenarios (4’<width<8’ , 8’<width<12’, width>12’) into a single file and try to make as clean as I can until the next issue rears its head
