Attractor point on curve

I am a beginner, how can I do an attractor point on a curve and make all of the points come closer, controlled with a point.

WOW! Is there a simpler way, no graph mapper and one control point. I don’t really understand what some of these components are doing e.g. graph mapper…therfore something simpler would be easier to understand.

I have tried to interpret your code; this is how far I have managed to get. I have tried to simplify it, but it is still not working. There must be a simple way of doing this?
