Assigning Material, Texture Mapping?

Hello everyone!

I have a curved shape

and I want to make it look like it is made with rectangular metal panels. Ideally, the outcome would be similar to the singular panel fitting the wireframe seen in the shaded mode.
This is what I was able to come up with, but obviously doesn’t look right (the vertical shapes should be perpendicular to C plane).

So…
Created Mesh from Brep in Grasshopper
Then selected material for it, Texture Mapping Type: Custom Object, Projection: Closest Point.
Something about a Mapping Widget.
A little tweaking of the scale.
Turned out almost perfect.
Did this pretty randomly.
