Arrow Line Length Issue

Why is the leader arrow’s main line extend through the arrow. See the attached jpg and the red arrow indicating the issue with the arrow for the black leader.

Little things like these kill me. I’ve had more than my share of battles with leaders in both Rhino and AutoCAD. I’ve attached a file that shows a potential work around. It may or may not be what the doctor ordered. Basically I just switched the style to have a user block that looks the same as the default arrow. I used a single hatch which produces some faint lines with certain PDF plotters; there’s a few ways to fix that but are only worth getting into if this is a viable solution.

Thanks Keith. I’ll check it out in the morning.

Hi @Mike24 I agree this is not pretty. To answer your question, This happens because the line gets a print width, and the arrow is a filled shape that doesn’t alter. The workaround of @keithscadservices is to make your own arrowheads with an appropriate offset, but it’s a bit tedious. I’m not sure there is an easy fix for this other than that the arrowhead would get an outline as well, or would be represented as a line rather than a filled shape.
