Area Moment - Accuracy question

I have a quick question concerning the error values on the AreaMoments command.

I’m working on a script calculating section properties (Inertia).

If I draw a planar surface that is 152.4 x 406.4, I get an Ixx about the centroid of 852441960. This matches exactly the results of a hand calculation (= b.h^3/12).

But if I draw a slightly different surface that is 152.4 x 406.422, I get an Ixx about the centroid of 852580707. Which is different than the hand calculation = 852580405. The error is bout 301 mm4. In absolute terms, it isn’t significant at all.

What I find confusing is the output from Rhino suggests the error is +/- 0.1, which is wildly off. I imagine the error is in model units?

The actual error is on the order of .000035%, so perhaps the +/-0.1 is a percentage?

I get 852580405 for the moment of inertia about the centroid for a planar surface 152.4 x 406.422. Tested with a planar surface with centroid at the origin, and a planar surface with centroid at an arbitrary location. The error compared to your hand calculation is 0.
