Are Auxiliary Views Possible?

Hi everyone, I have a quick question:

For my Representation class, we have to draw these three cubes, in this stacked orientation (pictures attached) in the basic multiviews (top, front, right), as well as three primary auxiliary views (ex: front-right, back-left). I modeled it to make it easier to visualize, and switched to Perspective to attempt to simulate the Back-Left view (the last picture at the bottom). Is there an actual command or shortcut to see Auxiliary Views? If not, is there a workaround? I use a Windows 10 Laptop.

Thanks in advance!

Hello - OrientCameraToSrf should help - pick the face you want to look at as the target surface.

Ok, thanks Pascal! I’ll try that and let you know what happens.

@pascal I tried that command, but it seems like I need to be able to look directly at an edge, rather than a face, when drawing an auxiliary view. Is there anything else I can try?

Hello - maybe I am misundertanding the request - I think you need to look at for example, this face, head on…

if you make sure the camera is a parallel projection (Properties panel, with no selection) then orient the camera to that face you can get a view like this:

Is that not the idea?

Oh, ok, got it! I was misunderstanding how the command worked. Thanks, that helps a lot!
