Architectural-Drafting text slash modification

Hello!

I’m relatively new in Rhino. I have to create drafts in Rhino, and unfortunately, I’m struggling with a problem in the text editor. In architectural applications, like ArchiCAD, there is an option for tagging building openings, like doors and windows. I’ve tried to reproduce the same type of markings, but I didn’t find the solution. Do you have any idea of how I can make the slash line longer in specific direction with specific length?

Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Pete T.

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the forum. This is a bit of a kludge, but you can include spaces in the denominator:

[[/60/ 210 ]]

If you want a longer leading line you can place more spaces before the number than after, but you will need to space the numerator as well to keep it lined up.

Is there a way to set the print width for the line? It doesnt seem to change if i set the layer or object print width…

Sorry, not so far as I know. I think it is actually more of a text character than a line.

Hi Jeremy!

Thank you for your help. This solution does the trick for now. It would be amazing if Rhino had more drafting tools, for these kind of problems as well.

Thanks again,
Pete
