Analyze to Find Weight of a Ring in Grams - Rhino For Mac

I’m new to using Rhino. I created simple wedding band for a client and would like to know if there’s a way to anaylze how heavy the ring will be when printed. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you so much in advance!

Rhino has no concept of material properties.
Use the Volume command on your closed model, and multiply that by the same unit weight of the material you will be using to make it.

It’s just simple arithmetic.

Hello Caitlinotaylor

You can use the volume commande :
then divide by 1000 and muliply by the density ; Golden Yellow 18K is : 15.5 .
So in my exemple it’s 139.71646 /1000* 15.5 = 2.165 g

Thanks very much!
