Adding sublayers button issues

The new SubLayer+ button is great… Only that when pressed repeatedly, it adds new level every time works as intended I suppose, as it adds a new level from the selected layer.
But, When adding a few sublayers to a layer. we need to every time reselect the top layer.
When working with many Sublayers it’s not nice.
Can an option to add the sublayer to the layer be add?
Or is there already a way to do this?

Yes, once you created your first sublayer, click the new layer icon left to it instead
