Add-in (snapping gecko) does not appear in gh after installing it

Hello there,
I’m currently using gh in rh7 by rhino.inside.
I installed several add ins and everything worked fine.

Yesterday I wrongly installed a package by the package manager, that package was already placed in the “Libraries” folder so I had an ID conflict issue.

After I solved that issue #SnappingGecko disappeared from gh.

I tried several times unistalling/installing that package both with #PackageManager and copy pasting in Libraries folder with no results, any suggestions?

actually in preferences I see the SnappingGecko settings

but I don’t see it on the toolbar and it is not enabled

I’m using it with no issues, Rhino 8 fully updated on Windows 10 fully updated

close Rhino

check these two locations on your HD:

C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries
here are the Libraries you install by hand by downloading the file from food4rhino

if you have a snappinggecko.gha file there: delete it

then go to:
C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0
here are the Libraries you install through Packagemanager in Rhino

if you have a folder named SnappingGecko delete it

reboot PC because it’s beautiful to do it sometimes

after fresh reboot start Rhino, and confirm you don’y see any SnappingGecko options/setting anymore

if that is the case (if you don’t see those settings anymore) then you are clean and you can install it from PackageManager and it should work properly

I have already done this procedure, but anyway i followed it again, I cleand rh and gh from SnappingGecko previous files, and everything seems clean.

I installed it again from PackageManager but again I see only SnappingGecko Widgets properties, no other tabs and no vital signs in the definittion.

Am I missing something?

EDIT: I notice this problem also for other definitions like sunglasses and wiresrenderer_5, no tabs appear after the drag n drop installation

after cleaning both the directories, did you open Rhino and GH to check that you would not have anymore SnappingGecko options available in your GH Settings?

Yes and it was clean

EDIT: at a certain point snapping gecko and other components previously grayed out or diasppeared, were again fully functionant no idea what happend.

Then I installed a new component Pangolin (don’t remember if via “component folder” or “package manager”) and again some components disappeared from grasshopper interface and now they are still not running.

UPDATE:
Hello there, another update.

I uninstalled rhino and the add ins (both installed by package manager and by libraries folder) and I reinstalled them one by one.

I discovered that snapping gecko disappears once I install pod_gh_button, if I remove this add in snapping gecko returns fully operative so that is the conflict.

Anyone who noticed this same specific conflict? Is there any solution?
Because you know pod_gh_button is quite usefull so it would be sad not being able to use it.
