Please McNeel can you improve this tool. Maybe like https://fspy.io/
Because the current tool does not really provide an up-to-date visual feedback.
Hi -
I’ve added this thread to the open feature request RH-20575 PerspectiveMatch improvements needed

Nice Thanks! ![]()
the comments in the log say “few are vocal about this” so I’m adding my voice to be a part of that few that would like to see an improvement in perspective match.
I’ve just tried matching a model to a photograph and the tool didn’t work–after calling out 6 points–likely because the size of my model isn’t the same as the size of the matching photograph?
I think having the user define various planes/lines in the photograph (as other users have shown in other threads) would be more efficient and beneficial.
Thanks!

This feature if working correctly for my work would move me to upgrade to R8.
Anything new for Perspective match in 2026 ?
I don’t get it, I place 4pts, and then nothing happen, even if I press enter.
After 6pts, I get the “press enter when done” option. I further get a prompt : do you want to place other points? Whether I say yes or no nothing happen
Also, Is it normal that I need to place more then 4 pts ?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
CC
Hi Charles -
In a quick test here, something happens after matching 4 points.
Please post both the output from the Rhino SystemInfo command and the 3dm file that you are having problems with.

@wim, as my question was more of a worflow strategy, I moved it to another topic :
---- EDIT
I finally create an PerspectiveMatch tool integration (fSpy).
WorksWell and really accurate
