WISH - Object Display Mode Global Property of the Object for ALL Views

But that’s not what you’ve been saying. Up until now you were saying (if my English was good enough to understand you, I’m very sorry, as I’m not a native speaker) that it should be global, period. Removing viewport dependency entirely.
Setting it global by default but then have the option to make it viewport (or display mode) dependent, that is a change that we can discuss. I agree that it would be more consistent. Even if it meant more clicks for my use case.

Great argument. In that case, I’ve been using 3D software for the past 20 years, CAD for the past 17 and Rhino specifically for the past 13 years. So does that make my opinion more valuable?

I’m sorry, I’m trying to be constructive here but you seem to be only capable of insults when you run out of arguments. I’m not getting dragged myself into this, so that’s where this discussion ends from my end. Have a nice day.

you should really stop treating everybody as enemy, if fights is all you need please stay away from constructive topics, your initial topic is interesting but treating everybody as they lack some brain is not.

How have I exhausted my arguments? All my points remain intact and well-supported. Conversely, you have yet to put forth any arguments to defend your position. There’s a noticeable lack of effort on your part. How are you contributing constructively? It seems you’re attempting, albeit unsuccessfully, to dismantle rather than build a solid case.

How have I insulted you?

If you can’t infer this from common sense, then I don’t know what to tell that rather than you lack common sense, it is not an insult. :man_shrugging:

In my follow-up response, I elaborated on the functioning of this common sense, emphasizing the transition from a general to specific approach. I discussed the progression from uniformity across all viewports, to individual objects varying across all viewports, and finally, to a single object differing within a sole viewport.

However, you seem inclined to assume a victim role, as though that were a form of argument.

Lets focus on the 3 requests in this topic. If you were in person, you would already drink beer and hug together as friends. :beers:

You keep bringing up that word. I’ve never viewed you as my enemy, yet your actions suggest otherwise.

Rather than suggesting I avoid certain subjects, I recommend you focus on your own affairs.

It seems your limited proficiency in English is preventing you from recognizing the rudeness in your behavior.

There’s no reason to take a feature request and ensuing discussion and make it personal. None. It’s fine to disagree, it’s fine to bring your opinions, it’s fine to bring counterarguments.

But continuing to insult each other isn’t appropriate behavior on this forum. Please stop immediately.

if i am not your enemy why persisting in such a tone? i am obviously not the only one being fed up of your behaviour, if you want do discuss objectively then insulting all others is not going to do it.

i agree, but please also dont pull my words out of context.

There’s a lot in this thread about the reasons for why the SetObjectDisplayMode command should allow activation in all viewports, as well as why it should be the default.

The feature was added a long time ago, as it is, per user request. So we know that customers want it the way that it is. Adding an option to make it possible globally seems reasonable.
