Set Object Display Mode request

I don’t know if this has been requested before, or if for some reason this isn’t feasible, but would it be possible to add an option to this that would set the object display mode for all viewports instead of just the one you’re working in?

Thank you.

make a button / alias _RunPythonScript and point to that file:

SetObjDisplayModeAllViewports.py (1.7 KB)

it is not perfect because drop down but you can still use keyboard to get to the displaymode in the list… so press “R” to highlight Rendered and press “R” again to get to the next entry beginning with R if there should be any.

Thank you dk. That’s perfect. I use Set Object Display Mode a lot and this will definitely be a time saver.

Hi Cosmas, @dk2079

SetDisplayMode Viewport=All Mode=Shaded

interesting, is this WIP7?

I cannot see this Viewport=All in R6:

ahh… I get it, but you are pointing to SetDisplayMode not SetObjectDisplayMode

Ah, sorry guys - ObjectDisplayMode… I’m going for a coffee now.
