That’s actually very interesting.
I’m in Germany
France here, and im on exchange to Hong Kong they use it as well
How are you calculating “most”? Total number of licenses? Number of licenses per-capita? Most people participating on this forum?
This way you could investigate numbers later, for now I would summarize the answer from this thread if there will be enough of them.
Yep… but 99.5% of all users don’t visit this forum… It will also be relative to who understands English, those that don’t will have far less participation. This will be somewhat country/culture dependent. Also, for the Italian-speaking group, they have their own forum.
Totally agree, but even with 0.5% we could get some insights. But thanks for your opinion!
in Austria Vienna there are at least 3 universities where Rhino is being taught for architecture and used, not exclusively though but certainly popular.
can you tell us a bit more what your intentions are?
In my area Rhino is pretty much unheard of. I don’t know of another company that uses it. It gives us a great advantage so I’m not quick to spread the word.
Switzerland
Sweden here, rhino is not that popular here other than some private courses and resellers not sure if there is anything else.
Norway
Australia,
I am actively trying to promote Rhino in the Marine industry here along with 3D scanning.
Germany
Rhino is very popular at universities that teach design and architecture here in Germany. Grasshopper is also taught. It was my teacher who told me back in September 2010 that there was an alpha version of Rhino for the Mac called Wenatchee.
In my opinion in Germany a lot of people in design, architecture and construction know that there is Rhino but not all of them using Rhino. I’ve seen Rhino in big companies like Airbus but in my Context the most Rhino Users I know are out of smaller businesses - but this could be my bubble.
I’m from Türkiye, Rhino is quite popular here in product design, architecture, marine industry, jewellery etc.
Architect from India here. Rhino is popular amongst students in universities, but vast majority of practices either do not use it, or barely touch the complete capabilities of Rhino+Grasshopper. Autocad+Sketchup is what the vast majority of offices use and interoperability becomes difficult if you don’t know what you are doing/ don’t have time or resources to invest in modifying your design to production pipeline.
United Kingdom
Rhino isn’t too popular here, it’s been going out of fashion apparently and SW seems to be the standard in ID here. Though some Chinese manufacturers we work with use Rhino.
