What command to show intersecting curve in apparent closed curve?

Hi,
V5
It warns of problems when I select what looks like a closed curve, for which I had to run ‘close curve’ to get a closed curve. It said a line had to be added to close a gap.

I then do a solid extrude and it warns of intersecting curve.

I explode and joing one length at a time and see no small segments,at completion visually it says its an open curve.
IntersectSelf command is shown as unknown command in V5.

I have projected the curve to a planar surface, result also still has warning.

Zoom naked doesnt work.

What is the method to fix this please ?
Intersecting curve.3dm (34.9 KB)

Should probably rebuild it afterwards or something to blend the added segment better.

Is that a command in V7? Upgrade?

Run the CrvEnd command and Rhino will add a point to one end of the open curve.
I Zoomed in and drew a Circle there.

Your curve has an overlap that needs to be dealt with.

Thanks,
so CrvEnd is now being added to my useful commands list, for spotting pesky areas where closeCrv causes a Zig Zag which unless found is a nuisance.
Caused by trimming curves of similar radii to tangent circles using the latter.

This is not the CloseCrv command’s fault, the curve was probably self-overlapping before you ran it.
