Hello all,
We are getting closer to publish a WIP version of VisualARQ 3. We appreciate your interest in testing it out.
This WIP version though will be only available for VisualARQ users with a license. And it will be only possible to test it on Rhino 8.

We will notify to all existing users when the WIP version is available.

Very exciting! Thanks for the heads up, @fsalla.

Hi @fsalla . Thats a great news. Do the students license gets the opportunity to try Visual Arq3 and are they eligible for discount while upgrade?

Hi @asisintel, yes, students with a license will be able to try VisualARQ 3 WIP.
Educational licenses won’t be upgradeable. We still need to define the details about launching discounts. We will inform about it in the appropriate time.

Hello all, I have a question about VisualARQ 3. Are new with the windows and door styles also windows / door handles present / integrated? What about doors that have a glass insert? My customers always ask how more for IFC 4 . . is this format available? Are there new features for piping and heating/sanitary? Thank you very much.

Many greetings
Boris

Hi @Boris_87,

Yes, this is a new feature in VisualARQ 3:

There are no news about this. You can add a glass component to a door, and adjust the frame width.

Or, if you want a more specific design, you can always use blocks to create doors, or use Grasshopper styles to create your door leaf with a window in it.

That’s expected in VisualARQ 3.

No news about this. But can you be more specific about it? do you need to create 3D geometry for the piping system? or the heating/sanitary? do you need symbology for 2D plans?

Hello Francesc, thank you for your answers. It’s all great! :-).

Door:
Would it be possible to create a new door-glass component from a closed curve (command: profile from curve)?

Piping - Heating Plumbing:

This question has become superfluous. This is too complex and there are many possibilities and libraries on the Internet that are ready as prefabricated elements. Otherwise you will soon have a second Revit …

Many greetings
Boris

It would be helpful if Curve Piping was visible in the Hidden view. Curves with Curve Piping are visible in Technical view styles, so it would seem possible to also make them work in Hidden view too.

We will study this option. With a Grasshopper style you can already achieve this. You can have a curve parameter in the Grasshopper definition that gives the shape of a glass inside a door leaf.

You are right, I’ve reported this issue already.
