I am wondering if anyone is successfully using VR Headsets (like the MetaQuest 3S, for example) to walk through a Rhino model of an architectural interior? I know there have been some posts on this in the forum, but I don’t see anything conclusive or recent.
We used Simlab’s super simple plugin to view Rhino models in VR a few years bsck. It’s a cheap, no frills solution, but was super stable and simple for our use. The fidelity is not UE5, but worked well for our use. I have no idea if it’s totally outdated by now
Another option is to use Twinmotion, which allows you to turn on VR in both presenter- and editor mode. I don’t have much experience with TM, but it seemed fairly easy to get started. I merely tested it - never used it for “real” work!
There’s been plenty of discussion on the topic before.
@cosmas Yes, we use Rhino/Enscape and Rhino/Twinmotion with Meta Quest 2 & 3 for a more experiential understanding of student designs in my architecture studio classes.
