Urgent! Structural Analysis of multiple pipes in Grasshopper

Hey!

In a project, we have built a door which consists of multiple steel pipes in U shape, although we have welded them, because of their weights or other natural loads, they have been deformed; hence, we want to add some supports in order to stabilize them. We want to make some structural analysis to make sure that our approach will be working. Although I have worked with Kangaroo and Karamba before, I don’t know how to run the simulation and I am looking for help.

I will attach the file here.

Not sure how much background in structural analysis you have, but this seems to be an array of linear elements, which can be represented by beam finite elements. Regarding loading: if this is a door, it will most probably be governed by horizontal live loading (point load or line load). If the material is steel, check von Mises stresses making sure you do not exceed the yield strength of the materials. Might be worth checking out stability of members as well.

Karamba can handle this, I suggest you watch some tutorials.

can you write the algorithm?
