Update Dlubal plugin End of Central Directory record could not be found

Good morning,

Kindly provide assistance in this issue.

I am trying to upgrade my current Dlubal plugin for Grasshopper from V 7.607.1.1 to V 7.607.14.1.
I am getting below error message “End of Central Directory record could not be found.”

Notes.

• Since I am also using Tekla plugin I setup Rhino to use Dot NET framework. For this reason, even though I am using rhino 8, I installed Version 7 of the Plugin as advised by Dlubal.
• I am using RFEM 6.08 at the moment.
• I recently upgraded from a previous way of manually installing the plugin by deleting the old installation folders.
• I have tried using /netcore switch in Rhino, but I am getting the same error message.
• Rebooting the PC makes no difference.

I’d really appreciate your assistance.

Please run the Rhino command _SystemInfo and post the result in a reply.

Thanks Nathan for looking into this.

Nothing out of the ordinary there. The message indicates a problem with the Yak package. I guess it got somehow damaged during download. I was able to download these withut a problem. I am not aware of any fixes related to the packaging of plug-ins, perhaps @will knows if there were any in Rhino 8.14 or later.

Thanks Nathan, I think you are right. After uninstalling and deleting all the installation folders I was able to install the latest version. I did have some help from Dlubal as they suggested to do this.

All working now.

Thank you.

In case anyone is interested, These are the steps I followed.

  1. Close Rhino 7 and 8
  2. Delete all Dlubal-plug-in folders from following folders:

Rhino 7 (only if Rhino 7 is also relevant for you…otherwise you can focus on Rhino 8)
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\7.0
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Local\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0
C:\Program Files\Common Files\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins
Rhino 8:
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\Plug-ins
C:\Users##username##\AppData\Local\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0
C:\Program Files\Common Files\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\Plug-ins

  1. Please run Rhino 8 and set the required DotNet Runtime.
    Please restart Rhino 8
Please enter now the package manager and install the dlubal plugin. Of course depending if you use .NET Framework (-> Version 7.607.14.1) or .NET Core (-> Version 8.607.14.1).
    Please restart Rhino 8

Thanks To Lukas Suhnel from Dlubal for the assistance.
