"Unknown Command" for certain actions

Hi All,

I use an educational licence supplied by my university for Rhino 7 on Windows 10.

I have recently noticed that when trying to use any of the isometric commands (all of them in both locations & typed) they say “Unknown Command”? This also happens with “Purge”. Any ideas why this might be happening?

I’ve tried enabling & disabling Rhino Lab plug-in and that hasn’t worked.

Here is my system info;

Solved

I am an tube. Leaving this here for others with the same issue;

When I was enabling & disabling Rhino Lab Plug-in, I was not actually “loading” it in. For anyone else that has this issue, make sure to right click the plug-in and make sure it says “Yes” under the Loaded row.

While you are at it maybe consider upgrading to the most recent service release which at the time of writing is Rhino 7 SR 17.

Unfortunately it’s up to the admin team to update our systems, which they only do very rarely. Thanks though.

Well, link them to my reply! As a good IT person they should keep everything up-to-date! :wink:

They could probably update the nvidia driver while they are at it.

Unless you are using their software on your computer, in which case you might consider it.

Wow well spotted. I thought I had it set up to auto update! Thanks

FWIW, Auto-update tools for GPU drivers have about a 99% failure rate.
I always go find driver updated manually.

I thought I’d set it up wrong…you’d think with all the mining money nvidia could make a decent software

It’s not just Nvidia.
Everyone screws it up.
Nvidia is the only one I’ve seen where it works occasionally, but even that’s rare.
There is just too much they have no control over to make a reliable tool.

Hi Craig -

Also note that, while newer drivers might fix issues, they can also introduce new bugs.
As long as you are not having display problems, you can just stick to a driver version that works for you.
