Unable to fillet this edge but why?

@Steve1 LOL

@Et_Rec here is an example of what I am talking about re time management. Making this today.

This shape in T-splines is easily created from a twisted box just as you would forge a straight piece of metal to be rolled into ring……I know ….I would carve this out of wax as well but bare with me just as a project.

I am going to flow this up onto a circle but unless I add more edges on the x axis in t-splines it will loose its shape during the flow. But if I add more edges then it will be harder to edit later if I want modify it to say take another gem size.

So I save the t-spline as my master and convert it to a polysurface and work in Rhino.

I have a gap at the bottom that I could get all anal about in t-splines and line up etc but the major support for printing is going to go there as will the main sprue for casting and both will need cleaning up. Easier to leave it short.

A rough blendSrf here is fine, gives me a valid solid and I can move on and get the job done. The customer is not going to notice the poor modelling in a render.

This sort of thing is really quick in t-splines for me compared to Rhino and far more editable.
