I am trying to place my key in and when i do it says the key is already expired even though I just got the key less than an hour ago. please help.

Most likely you already got one or more evaluation periods on other accounts.
Evaluations cannot be extended indefinitely with other accounts.
If you would like to continue to use Rhino you will need to purchase a license. If you are currently a student you can get the fully functional educational price.

Looks like your evaluation period already ended 19th of April, 2021. Each user is allowed one (1) evaluation period. If they want or need to use Rhino beyond that they need to buy a license.
