Toolbars lost custom buttons...again

The toolbar woes continue. Lost some of my custom buttons again. Both in regular toolbar, and in the pop-up toolbar. This worked fine yesterday. I did have to do a Windows update late yesterday, in case that could be the culprit.

Here’s my Toolbar RUI.

@Alan_Farkas Before trying to fix this, can you pls go to
%appdata%/Mcneel/Rhinocereos/8.0/ and zip and send me the settings folder?

hi @Alan_Farkas thanks for sending the file
it will take me a while to figure this out. If I just open the RUI file then all looks good by the way, so nothing is actually lost. But in the settings file you sent there are many schemes and versions of those schemes so it is a bit hard to advise which files to delete. You can test however, by renaming your settings folder (with Rhino closed) to settings.old and restarting Rhino (Rhino will make a new settings folder), then reimporting the RUI file, it will look correct again.

great, thanks so much. Also, those schemes are indeed old, since I started using the Rhino Containers and Window Layouts.

I would maybe hold off on checking out those schemes, unless it’s of help to farm the issues for future troubleshooting. I’ll try your suggestion above, and come back to report.

Hey @Gijs

Yeah, think there’s an issue with at least one of my customizations, because I brought some in after Rhino created fresh Settings folder, and now things are happening again.

But what’s killing at the moment is this axis marker. Trying to take some viewport grabs, and I can’t get rid of the thing – in any of my display modes, so I’m assuming it’s a setting somewhere, but can’t find it. (Doesn’t help when I use the Grid command either.)

Some help on this one thing would be greatly appreciated (if ur still awake!)

That doesn’t look like the Rhino native axis marker - plug-in maybe? The ones from Rhino are gray and don’t have arrows.

Ah, thx. Will look into the plugins.
