Text masks / radial dimension

Hey all

  1. It seems that the masking of text (dimensions etc.) with backround option turned on doesn’t work properly (for me)

  2. is there any way how to overwrite the value of radial dimensions? This is normaly possible in a side bar of normal dimensions, but i can’t find out how to rewrite it in radial dimensions…

Best!
Petr

So that others won’t have to use hours trying to imagine what you are thinking, could you provide a file, please?

Double click the radial dimension. A Edit Radial Dimension dialog will pop up.
At the bottom of this dialog, there is a text field that you can use to overwrite the value.

This is rather messy to find, though, as it can be hidden behind other content in that dialog. Here, on first try, I was able to drag the bottom part to be bigger but it wouldn’t show both the edit field and the preview. I closed the dialog and then tried with a diameter dimension. When I then went back to the radius dimension, I was able to drag it so that both were visible.

Anyway, here is a screenshot of where you have to drag the divider in the dialog:

Damn! It is really there :)) Thank you so much WIM! Well, it is like searching for a treasure, but whatever…

Regarding the masking, see pictures bellow.
I guess, the backround mask should cover the geometry behind the same way as the solid color does…

It’s going to be even more there soon. @Alain is working on smoothing out some of that confusion about hidden edit boxes and collapsed and invisible splitters.

The mask should display on top, but doesn’t.
Using BringToFront is a workaround, but I made a bug report about it to get the mask to show without needing that.

Thanks for the report.
