Testing Direct AI Rendering in Rhino with Shoes Modeling

I recently tested ‘byRhinoGen’, a new AI rendering plugin that runs directly inside Rhino. Since it operates entirely within the Rhino panel without needing to export files, it offers a pretty handy Seamless Workflow.

After opening the model, I simply clicked the image generation button without typing any prompts. While you could probably fine-tune the results by adding detailed prompts, it already controls the geometry so well that it seems perfectly viable for quick visualization, reviewing without rendering setup, getting inspiration, or even using the output directly.

1. Input & Automatic Pass Generation

The only input I provided was a single Rhino viewport capture . Other control passes like the line map and ID pass, depth pass were automatically generated inside Rhino during the process. Thanks to these auto-generated passes, it ensures Exact Control over the original geometry without losing structural fidelity.

2. Output

The studio lighting and material textures came out quite naturally. It generates decent depth and shading without requiring complex material setups.

3. Post-Processing & Regenerate

It has built-in curve adjustments, so you can do basic Color correction and Post processing right inside the panel. I also tested the Regenerate (Inpaint) feature by utilizing the auto-generated ID pass to change the accent color from lime green to red, which turned out to be the most useful feature.

Is this a sales pitch?

That wasn’t my intention. I just tried it on my shoe model and shared it because the result was quick and good. I used AI for the post too. which probably made it sound that way
