Tension only members in Grasshopper/Kangaroo

How can i define a tension only members in Grasshopper/Kangaroo. Members like rope/threads which get stiff if there is a tension in them but slacks if there is no tension.

Thank you

Use the ClampLength goal, with the UpperLimit set as the rest length of your member, and the LowerLimit as 0.

Another way you can do it is to break each cable into 2 or more segments. If you don’t add any sort of bending resistance it will just fold and offer no resistance when compressed. This also has the advantage of making slack cables easy to spot visually in the result.

Yet another way, if you are using this for form-finding, is to use the normal Length goal and set the rest length of the member to zero.
