Greetings all,
I’ve raised this problem about a week ago, but now I’ve made significant progress towards finding a solution. I would kindly ask for any support / insight you might be able to give me.
Main idea is that I have a parametric cross section of a breakwater, and I’m looking to sweep it along a curve, and at the same time, have the swept solid project on the bottom surface, e.g. the bathymetry.
Attached in the first image I’ve described my attempt on the solution.
Now I have run into two problems.
1st Capping Issue
The solids are generated, they are all open breps. I want to get rid of the overlapping breakwater inside the toe solids but whatever I do I am unable to cap the breps in order to perform the boolean union.
2nd Sweep Issue
Say I can live without unioning the open solids, but I am trying to build something generic that would be able to project on most kinds of bathymetry youd expect. The problem is that when I draw other bathymetry the toe profiles that I am sweeping along at the intersection with the new bathymetry behaves really strange. I gave two other bathymetry in the example below.
