Sweep2 - why doesn't this work?

I kinda thought the attached would work, but it doesn’t… it doesn’t close the end “correctly”.

Sweep2, red rails, blue profiles, closed sweep…

I know there are other ways to do this, but was wondering if this could/should be “tuned up”…

Thx, --Mitch

Hmm - dunno… I put it on Lowell’s heap to look at but my W.A.G. is that this might not be an easy tune up…

It would be great if there was a morphing tool such that you could create intermediate curves to just loft this. I guess with the ability to constrain them to the blue curves :stuck_out_tongue:

I have the same problem. Wanted to sweep2 a dome shape with open top. Even when both rails are octagonal (same number of points), the shape still doesn’t close. There is always a gap. I don’t understand why. Any ideas?

No idea, we’ll have to wait for the developer to have a look- I’ll add your file to the bug track item.It does seem like Closed should force the first profile to be used at the end.
