Susan Taing - founder of Bhold

Designer Susan Taing, founder of Bhold, is recognized for her organic design aesthetic and data-driven approach to design. She’s a self-taught designer who started with 3D printing as a hobby. Susan studied mathematics at MIT and Stanford and worked in Product Marketing at Google.


Bhold, located in New York, creates smart, functional design through a unique approach combining rapid prototyping, 3D printing and beta testing. This ensures each product is as thoughtfully designed as can be.

Taing uses Rhino during the concept and prototyping phases. She learned through instructors and online tutorials, she often engage 3D modeling experts more skilled than herself, since hew own 3D modeling skills are limited.
