Surface edges not rendered when transparent objects are visible

In rendered display mode, surface edges stop displaying when any transparent object is active. Hiding all transparent objects or turning off their layer or changing to a non-transparent material fixes it so that the edges display properly, but they disappear again as soon as any transparent objects are visible.

Update:

Either of:

  1. Object with transparent material
  2. Picture frame object

Causes both of:

  1. Surface edges not rendered
  2. Solid hatches (but not other hatches) drawn behind all surface geometry regardless of assigned draw order.

Bumping. This still occurs in SR10.
