In rendered display mode, surface edges stop displaying when any transparent object is active. Hiding all transparent objects or turning off their layer or changing to a non-transparent material fixes it so that the edges display properly, but they disappear again as soon as any transparent objects are visible.
Update:
Either of:
- Object with transparent material
- Picture frame object
Causes both of:
- Surface edges not rendered
- Solid hatches (but not other hatches) drawn behind all surface geometry regardless of assigned draw order.
