Suggestion "_distribute" along 3D axis just like "_setpt"

When using the function “_setpt” it lets you select on which axis to set the point/object according to the 3d axis.

However:

When using the function “_distribute” you have to also select an x, y or z coordinate, but this time according to the viewport instead of the 3d axis.

To me it’s way more logical to use the world/3d axis as ruling axis rather than the viewport axis.

But maybe there is a logical explanation?

Thank you!

distribute uses the cplane that is active, not the viewport. We can change the active cplane anytime while in the distribute command ex: we can work in the Front viewport yet have any cplane active that we want, Right, for example, and use any tool in rhinos toolbox accordingly.

This is one of the most powerful things about Rhino’s sandbox working style, unlike many other modeling programs out there. It derives from its Autocad routes.

It offers incredible flexibility but also keeps you on your toes and makes you think about where you are in space.

But I also hear what you are saying. It might be nice for some people to have the world/cplane/view axis option for the distribute command!
