STEP file has strange geometry

Hi everybody,

I have a very strange mistake now in my RH8/GH process.

  1. I generate geometry in GH with boolean and trim comands also.
  2. The geometry is exported as .step by GH (Pancake/Export As)
  3. When I import the geometry into RH8, the geometry has some serious mistakes.

If i save the geometry as .3dm, everything is fine.

Do you have any advice?

I am going to guess tolerance issues, but I cannot tell without the example. Can I get the original GH definition and then I can run it thru the process described?

If the model is saved as a #DM, then opened again and saved as a STEP file does it mess up again on import?
