two more options / workflows:
(1)
delete the faces and recreate them with _bridge
(2)
draw a curve
maybe just by interpolating offer the correct / nice points.
now turn on edit points (in box mode) of the subD and _align them to the curve
see this topic:
I want to align a curved SubD edge to another curved line.
How can I do this?
I can’t do it without a complicated workaround. It must be possible to attach the SubD edge to the red curve in a simple way.
And the best thing would be if I change the red curve afterwards and the SubD edge adjusts with it. (History, the topic has already been addressed once)
In the image sequence you can see which edge is to be attached to the red line.

but i am still waiting for the
_edgeLoopBeautify
command
Working and teaching a lot of SubDs in the last weeks.
I would love to see an interactive command, that allows to “beautify” a (partial) Edge Loop.
(maybe also Face Loop)
The command should allow and combine the following optoiins
equal distribute spacing / distances (make them all the same)
homogenous spacing (locally average the spacing - allowing small to big distances distributed linear / quadratic)
symmetry (automatic / set plane)
radiate (align to a circle - combined with above option…
