Here is an extract of data from mold loft tables giving the height of the sheer strake In reality, the top of the sheer strake is a smooth continuous curve. However, when rounded to the nearest 1/16" you get a visible, stepped appearance.

Does anyone have a simple solution to fitting a curve through data like this such that:
- There are no inflection points in the curve; and
- The curve is within some specified tolerance of the the input point set.
