Sketchup is more popular than Rhino in a few categories, but why exactly?

To get vector output you need to Make2D.

To be clear, I USE RHINO EVERYDAY so I know what’s in it and it’s my go to solution even though skp exists.

And I’m not impressed to have to make2d everytime I change something.

Once I say this, usually I’m pointed to section tools. But that’s not really a final solution to me. It’s more of an intermediate thing.

How? Its not like annotating or tagging is rocket science.
What else do you need?

If you want to have the tag change name when you change the name of the object and it’s attributes, the tags change in layout automatically. Rhino has no tools for tagging afaik. Leaders do exist but changing them manually every time object name has changed is too cumbersome.

Maybe you can come up with a similar list I made for 3D Rhino vs SU but for 2D Drafting and you can post a separate thread as Feature Request.

Hi, I’m a long-time user since V4 and absolutely love Rhino. In my field of architecture, it is an amazing tool for designing and visualizing ideas. Yet very few people use it as a main Program for producing plans and drawings, the workflow is always relying on programs like archicad, vectorworks, revit or even Illustrator for achieving a finished layout of your project.
