Simulate the KinetiX

I would like to ask about how to simulate the “KinetiX” like the video I attached

Recently, I got the file of kangaroo on dainel piker’s github and tried to do some test.
However, I can’t simulate the soft material that I color in red in picture.

Does anyone can give me suggestion?boxes_mechanism.gh (19.8 KB)

For the full 3d movement without constraining to a plane:
kinetix_twist_unit.gh (16.9 KB)

I remember looking at this project when they published it and thinking it was very interesting, but kept wondering if these units are just forming approximations of some true rigid mechanisms (with this approximation being allowed by the flexibility of the joints). I suspect it could be something related to networks of Bennett linkages.

Not to say that the bistability/compliant aspect of it isn’t interesting, but it would be nice to have a fully rigid version described and then show how the compliant one relates to it.

@DanielPiker
Does any possible to simulate the stereoscopic one below more fast and continuously?
and the smulate reaction can be like the top one ,will be good.

Hey guys, I’m trying to create a panel like the one in this video. I set the parameters to 0.50 to position the hinges in the middle. However, when I try to set the rigid point, my script doesn’t seem to follow the steps correctly. I also want to create a multiple squares as awhole panel, so that if I change the shape of a single square the entire grid transforms. Please help me with this🙏
