My Sub-D is packed, so why the silly warning about creating zillion NURBS patches when performing a Sub-D to NURBS conversion ?
And yes, tho option is set to “Packed”.

The warning is not silly.
A brep with more then 50000 faces will be unhandleable for many operations/ commands.
But there might be a limited number of use cases where it might be ok. So it s a warning- nothing more.
Did you subdivide the dubd somewhere? And maybe this is not necessary?
Post your file / subd and you get better answers
Kind regards
Tom
The sillyness comes from the fact that the Sub-D is packed and the option for conversion is set to “Packed”, which means that there aren’t 51700 patches, but really something in the 300’s.
It seems that the warning randomly pops up, even when not necessary, thus the silly.
