Offset with solid option.
I’m using the following script in Grasshopper:
brep_offset_c.gh (167.7 KB)
ooff, thanks but I would prefer not to go as far as launching Grasshopper for this
I’m also still on Rhino 7, so I couldn’t use Push/Pull either btw
Do you need the command in a script?
would be nice!
Here’s a script which should work in Rhino 7
inset a face to the thickness you want, then simply push pull thru the whole part.
Inset (no split)
push pull
result
Maybe the OP wants a script?
since you replied to the topic generally i just assume you meant me.
maybe, but it is not stated as the one and only imperative option and i have a hard time imagining what this script can do for such a very specific niche objective which probably could just be finished long ago by manually shelling a few parts, and maybe the task could even be solved entirely different if the op would let us know what he is up to.
Yay, that’s it. I knew it had to be something easy, but I just didn’t know this was possible yet. Cheers!
