Several 'bugs' since version 6

First the minor:

An ongoing bit of annoying limits is the fact that after creating a new layer one must actually click on the default label change it.

Typically when this sort of object is first created it’s waiting for user input to name it.

I often forget this and must take a moment to ‘work around it’.

Much more troubling issue is the mismatch tween the command editor and the result shown in the application.

It’s a shame about the Dark Mode glitches in Rhino 6 and 7 for Mac.

Well, for better or worse, the Command Editor has been completely removed in Rhino 8 for Mac. The equivalent functionality in Rhino 8 for Mac is found in the Window > Toolbars menu item.

To get them where you want them in the interface is another thing entire…that’s the Window > Window Layouts feature, which involves creating Containers, populating them with Toolbar, putting them where you want them in the interface and then saving Window Layouts.

Because, after all - Mac users don’t really make use of it or something like that? That’s epically lame - especially after so much time and effort has been put into the Mac version.

Suppose you port the new tools like push pull and autoCplane and sundry other nice new tools into the V7 version.

We are slowly making our way toward a more cross-platform UI. In the process, we are having to make changes on both Windows and Mac to accommodate this. It’s not easy on anyone - users, tech support, documentation, developers - but we hope, long-term, it will be worth it :crossed_fingers:

Fun suggestion  That’s not going to happen.
