Running rhino compute on a linux server

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has managed to get rhino to run on a linux server using docker. Is this possible at all or is there any other way of getting rhino to run in a unix based server environment? Is there any plans on porting rhino to linux?

This is not possible and there are no current plans to port to linux.

there is a topic discussing rhino on linux with some success recently, dont get your hopes up regarding server capabilities but just in case you missed it.

Rhino on Linux?

I was already familiar with the Windows 10 configuration in Wine. This is already done with the help of winetricks (see my instruction on my GitHub-Channel). Then it’s so that the Installation of Rhino3D check which version of Windows is in use on your system and if you have for example Win7 then you get a error. @cryinkfly let me know if I can help you with more info to get this solved. thanks for this, I actually hadn’t seen this thread. Really great that you’re working on making it run on Linux. I’ve skimmed through the thread and it looks promising. But I understand that server capabilities is a whole other story. Thanks for sharing!
