Rhino Layout Issues/Bug

Hello All,

Im hoping someone can help. After having some issues with a grasshopper script I had uninstalled and reinstalled Rhino 8 on my Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.0.1. After doing so Rhino layout seemed to not work correctly. I add a detailed view to my page and create the view I wish. After doing so I zoom into the page, in which the detail view should not move and I can add text, but for some reason the detail in the model space moves around. After this happens I am weirdly able to somewhat control the model space when I shouldn’t be, zooming in will move the detail left and zooming out will move the detail right. Attached is a video of what happens when I try to zoom in on plans. This has only been an issues after reinstalling Rhino, I have never had an issue like this before hand.

Hi Eliot,

Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post the result.

Does this happen in a new file as well? If you provide a sample i can try in Sonoma and will see if anyone can repeat in Sequoia. Thanks!

Hi Japhy,
Attached is the SystemInfo and a copy of the file I first noticed issues on. The troublesome part is, is that if I share the file to someone else it behaves as it should. My software is the only one having issues. I have opened new files and I still come across the same issues. Since posting my first post I have reinstalled Rhino 8 once again as a last ditch effort and I opened a new file in which “Layout 1” behaved normally. “Layout 2, 3, 4 etc” then had the same issues as before.

To conclude above, my Rhino Software is the only one that is having issues, and after reinstallation one layout on a new file worked, but the rest have the reoccurring issue. If needed I can provide a longer video of the issue I will just have to break it down due to size limits.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi Eliot -

I’ve tried this file on a similar machine and, as you say, this works fine here.
I’d try to use the Reset command to see if that makes things better on your end.

Thank you Wim, finally that managed to fix my issue.
