Rhino does not start

Having no luck starting Rhino 8 today. I tried repair, then uninstalled, downloaded a fresh copy but get the same result. Rhino 5 still works. I use v5 only for ORCA. I seem to also have trouble with Outlook today, whether the two issues are linked I do not know of course.

Ideas?

See this a few times since the last windows update. Repairing the C++ redistributables resolves it.

the repair option can be found here..

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
2. Right-click Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and choose Repair.Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)
   Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)
3. Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 8.x
4. Repair Rhino
