Hi,
I’ve found some issues with the new Rhinoceros 8 WIP Ui.
I use a 5K 21:9 monitor.
First, every time I start the program all toolbars are automatically equally distributed along the size of my Rhino Ui, both orizontally and vertically, also if I set all tabs with certain distances and set “lock docked containers”
All icons haven’t anymore the super high resolution (high dpi) of version 7
The new 8wip icons are very bad with low resolution thick graphics and aren’t well defined as the 7 version.
If you imported your V7 workspace into V8, that is the reason. V8 uses vector based icon images (.svg). While V8 will import your bitmapped V7 images, they can be fuzzy depending on their original resolution and the new one chosen in V8.
Can V8 just use the same resolution that V7 was using? We know s bitmap icon can look acceptable in V7, it should not look any worse in V8, correct?
I plan to redraw all my icons as vectors for V8, but there are a few hundred of them, it will take some time, and I don’t plan to do that anytime soon given the current inestabilidad and UX confusion of V8 customizations.
It’s hard enough to redo all this work, the last thing I want is Rhino deleting it all, like it seems to be doing now to other users.

I haven’t imported the V7 workspaces, I know the V8 icons are vectorial but they haven’t the same quality (at standard 24 pixel size) of the equivalent V7 versions. Probably the black contour lines are too thick if compared with the ones (bitmapped) available in the V7.
This is not a big issues, the biggest one is the automatic re-arrange of all toolbars. I can’t place them where I want.
Rhinoceros 7 hasn’t this issue.
Hi Gabriele -
For now, changing the decimal separator on your system from the comma to the decimal point will probably solve that issue.

Thank you. fixed!
