Rhino 8 Layout Questions

Similar to how you can change print width per layer and layout print width, is there a way to change custom section styles for layout? I’m working with Rhino 8 clipping sections to create different layouts. I have the same detail in different scales on different layouts. In one detail, I would like to maintain the custom section style I’ve assigned to that layer (e.g. a simple 45 degree hatch). In another detail that’s a larger scale, I would like to change the section style (e.g. wood grain hatch) for the layer just in that detail or just for that layout. Is there a way to do that?

Also, is there a way to select multiple details and change what display style they are at once? I find that when I use the “technical” display view, my Rhino gets super laggy in layout. I’d like to print using the “technical” display mode, however, I want to work in a different display mode for efficiency.

Hi @Cheyenne_Bell,
This is not yet possible in Rhino 8. I can add it as a feature request. Clipping Sections and Section Styles were new in Rhino 8. So now that the feature is working well for most users, we can request more advanced ways of working for a future Rhino. We logged: RH-86818/Wish-Section-Style-Per-Detail-Layer

Yes, with no details active, select the detail edge, and go to the Properties panel and the Detail page..

Let us know if this works for you.
Sincerely,
