Rhino 8 Clipping Sections Bug

1.When moving geometry the clipping section deactivates temporarily as seen in attached GIF:

2.While clipping section in active, selected faces or edges of geometry that is not sectioned are not highlighted:

3.Shading issue: when trimming multiple surfaces, if I press ESC shading reverts to wireframe:

Thanks i was able to repeat the first two, but not the last. I’ll get the two youtracks (bug reports) going an circle back to the third.

testing in 8.5.24031.02001

Item 1: RH-80127

Item 2: RH-80128

Not able to replicate this one, perhaps someone else can.

If not I may need more step by step instructions to reproduce along with the file. Thanks

Thanks for the replies . I’ll set up a file and step by step instructions. Maybe it has something with my hardware performance?

Steps:

  1. go to perspective view (shaded)
  2. select cutting plane (green)
  3. Enter trim in command line
  4. Click on the object to be cut (red surfaces)
  5. Hit ESCAPE
After this the viewport should revert to wireframe (at least it does in my case)

Still not able to repeat and your graphics setups looks OK. Lets get you on the latest service release and see if this was something previously fixed.

The latest Service Release Candidate is 8.4

Go to File>Properties>Updates

Thank you. That solved it.
