Rhino 7 Plugin distribution

The latest Rhino 7 loads Rhino 6 plugins automatically. I had published new plugins via the Package Manager, specifically for Rhino 7 with additional functionalities which is absent in RhinoCommon v6. Now the Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 Plugins both gets loaded and the plugins are getting blocked.
Is there a way by which I can distribute both Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 plugins separately, without Rhino 7 automatically loading Rhino 6 plugins.

Hi @rajeev,

Both your Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 plug-ins should have the same GUID. Is this not the case?

Thank you very much Dale. Ah I see. I thought they had to be different.

Just for clarity…

Rhino 7 will automatically load Rhino 6 Plugin. But if RHino 7 Plugins are present, that would take precedence over Rhino 6 Plugin?

BTW the Rhino 6 plugins were distributed as a MSI installer. For Rhino 7, I published them to the Pacakge Manager. Would that be a problem? Maybe I should package Rhino 7 as a separate MSI installer. Please advice.

Kind Regards,
rajeev

Yes.

I don’t believe so.
