Rhino 7 Material Display Problems

Hi I seem to be getting material display problems every time I relaunch the latest version of Rhino 7. Didn’t seem to be an issue with rhino 6 or earlier versions of rhino 7. Materials that were assigned earlier with maps start to display as wireframe in rendered mode and I’m having to reapply all the maps every time I reopen the file. Any idea if this is an issue with the latest update?

Please run the Rhino command _SystemInfo and copy&paste the unabridged text in a reply here.

You shouldn’t use the Twinmotion Direct Link plug-in, but rather the new Datasmith exporter plug-in.

Does Rhino work better when you disable the Twinmotion DL plug-in? In plug-in manager right-click on the plug-in and choose Load protect. Then restart Rhino. The wireframe points to a performance problem, and the Twinmotion plug-in is causing quite a bit of performance problems we have learned. Epic has told us that Datasmith is the new, preferred way to get Rhino data into Twinmotion (and Unreal engine).

Hi nathan, thanks for the suggestion. I have installed twinmotion and the plug-in, restarted rhino but the display problem is still persisting. I have downsaved the file and opened it on another pc with rhino 6 and all the textures display fine. It seems to be a problem in rhino 7?

If you could share the file with us that would be great for investigating the problem. If you need to do so without sharing publicly you can use Rhino - Upload to Support . I have prefilled my e-mail address, so I get notified automatically when the upload successfully completes.
