Hi McNeelers
What that 0 at the end is for?
Its a data type (Float) vs UserText (Text)
But why it is changing the content of the string?
If the Value is and order of the elements the 0 is misleading.
It’s an extra step, but I’m Ok with it.
Thanks
Is there a way to have these values printed like on the image, instead of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0?
The series is outputting floats, cast to Text before inputting to Values by using a Panel or Text Component
Today was my first attempt to crack new Rhino panel in GH V8.
As much as I love you guys, I have to say you tend to overcomplicate things sometimes. I took me a while to find a similar solution that is fairly simple with Elefront.
At the same time, I have found lots of nice features (eg. rich text) which wants me to dig deeper.
PS. I have watched 2 hrs video with Andy explaining new features, still, it was more of my intuition than reason resolving the case.
Correct, there isn’t anything about Rhino 8 that is simpler, which is challenge.
What you are seeing better preserves the floating number input to text (its still text on output)
Talk about G2 :sweat_smile
I see great potential, I dug through some features, but, visually, it is a regression. I couldn’t find the colour scheme that would be comfortable enough for my old gentleman’s sight.
